Samsung Galaxy Note 3 S Orb gives you 360-degree photos

14 Apr 2013

Samsung's S Orb software, which was originally slated to appear on the Samsung Galaxy S4, will instead debut on the upcoming Galaxy Note 3.

S Orb is Samsung's version of the Android Photo Sphere feature, which was launched with Android 4.2. Photo Sphere lets you take a 360-degree picture of the world around you, turn it into a navigable photo as in Google Street View, then upload the result to Google Plus. According to Android Geeks, though, S Orb will also be able to integrate with Facebook - good news for the enormous number of people who are more active on Facebook than Google+.

Once the Note 3 is out the S Orb feature will start to appear on other high-end Samsung devices, probably included with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie when it appears on the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2.
